Effective application of this or any similar product must only be used with the understanding of the targeted insects and whether its use will actually help or create more harm. For example beneficial insects may be affected resulting in more "garden problems". Here is a link from the University of MN that may be helpful: https://www.extension.umn.edu/garden/insects/find/home-invading-weevils/ **Q: Is this effective for controlling sawflies on hardy hibiscus?** A: Don't know. I do know it controls fire ants in my veggie garden. **Q: Will this work on the olive fruit fly? I see one reviewer said it did not. Anyone else have experience with the olive fly?** A: Southern Ag Natural Pyrethrin Concentrate will work for flies and gnats but is only meant to be used as a contact spray. It does not leave any kind of residual to continue to kill so if the fruit flies are not in the area at the time you use the product it will not kill them ## Frequently Bought Together - Southern Ag Conserve Naturalyte Insect Control, 16oz - Pint - Southern Ag Thuricide BT Caterpillar Control, 16oz - Pint - Southern Ag Garden Friendly Biological Fungicide,16oz --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/12498083-conserve-naturalyte-insect-control-16oz-pint](https://www.desertcart.at/products/12498083-conserve-naturalyte-insect-control-16oz-pint) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-10-22*
