Like one I had for a long time until someone decided to helpp themselves to it! Have not been able to find one like it since. This one does not appear to be solid and may break if any amount of real pressure is put on it **Q: Is it nsf certified?** A: No, nowhere on the packagw or corer is it NSF **Q: Diameter of the scooper？** A: 1 inch in diameter **Q: can it be used to take out the bag spots on pears and apples?** A: I pretty much save it just for strawberries as it works very well. As for pears might work being a soft fruit.
