This one went on my iPhone 5s - had the same on my iPhone 4 for years and it still looks great (actually once it breaks in a little it looks even better).Enjoy! ### ⭐⭐⭐ The leather is beautiful and just the look I wanted…but…. *by T***E on Reviewed in the United States on November 23, 2013* .I really wanted to like this iPhone 5 case - so much in fact, that I spent an hour or so making some alterations to it so that it would function "just right." However, while I still like the look of the case - it's starting to fall apart. When I received it, I got the feeling that it was 'pre-used' because there were some wrinkles in the leather that seemed to me to be the sort of thing that develops due to wear and tear. However, they were small - isn and I pressed on. Put the phone in, adjusted so that it fit and went right to the camera app to see how the designers planned for the user to take a picture - which is something I do very often with my phone. The idea is that you flip the case open and pull a little tab down and then your case is out of the way of the lens. NOT SO. As leather is a material with 'give' the case springs back up in front of the lens. Ugh! Not going to work for me. So, I got out my leather punch and decided to LIBERATE the lens by doing a die cut in front of the lens. My leather punch is just for making holes in belts so they fit better, so it only makes a little round hole of different dimensions. Even using it on the largest size, I had to make several punches to get open up a hole for the camera lens. All the while I'm thinking, "Why didn't they just put a nice oval hole here?" Wish they had, because opening I made rather looked like an animal had chewed a hole that was slightly larger than then needed and a bit 'off'. (At least that's what my husband said." ) So in the end, mine nice leather case with modifications didn't look too bad, and I DID like the way it protected the screen…having just replaced my iPhone 5 due to a 'dropping incident in my driveway… but then, that pesky tab with the little camera icon on it started to annoy me. It didn't do anything well and I just wanted it out of the way. So I neatly snipped it off. PROBLEM. Apparently the top part of the case which hold the top of the phone IN the case needs that extra weight to stay put. Now it crumples and I will spare you the description because if you're still reading my review at this point …I will say, look for a different case that allows you to use the camera without having to move things out of the way of the lens. If you find one that looks as nice as this one does on the top and flips up, please let me know in the comments below.
