The 2101 MkII is highly portable, yet packs all the power of a Vintage Leslie. The Upper Rotor is basically the same as found in our flagship 3300 Leslie, with 150 watts of power feeding a Hi-capacity Driver attached to the traditional, proprietary Leslie Spinning Horn. The Lower Rotor's motion is achieved by our authentic Digital Leslie Engine, and fed through the Stereo 5' Speakers mounted at the front, behind the grill. Enough power for many small to mid-sized gigs, and more than enough when mic'd up through a Sound Reinforcement system. A real Tube Preamp warms up the sound, or may be overdriven to provide the inimitable Leslie Grind. The Three input sources (Traditional 11-pin, New-school 8-pin, or ¼ Guitar cable in) make hookup to any instrument (including Guitars) a snap. A ¼ Footswitch jack means that you'll never have to mess with those old, troublesome floor preamps again. All the performance facets are user-customizable. Combine the 2101 MkII with the Leslie 2121 to achieve the 21 System, a 300 watt Keyboard system. Review: Nothing beats the Original! - This Leslie gets 5 stars in EVERY category I can think of. I'm not sure which is the most important. Portability comes in first place for me. This is my second Leslie. The first one I owned was a beefed-up 145 back in the day. Because of its boxy size it took up lots of room in the van and was somewhat heavy. The New 2101 mkll version eliminates much of the transportation issues. It's very light in weight, which means the other guys in the band don't mind helping you load your equipment at the end of the night. The size is very manageable for stage and transportation. Versatility might come in second place as it is easy to configure to your rig. The 2101 comes with Four inputs and lots of variables but you only might use two at once. I use the 1.) stereo inputs for my Yamaha S 90 Keyboard and the 2.) "Leslie 2101 8-Pin Cable" directly from my Hammond Organ. There is also a 3.) MONO 1/4" input to go from your Keyboard if you are not using a Hammond 8-pin or 4.) a Hammond 11-pin. If you have a newer Hammond organ I highly recommend using your 8 or 11 pin cable as it controls the speed of the Rotary Horns as well as sends the voice signal. It's sold separately. There are TWO separate speaker channels for the instruments. There are stationary speakers in the front where the Piano comes out so you don't get the rotary effect. The Rotary Horns play the organ. The unit plays the upper and mid frequencies of your keyboard sound system. The Leslie 2101 has 1/4"outputs for lower frequencies to be sent to another amp with maybe a 15" or 18" sub-woofer. The other output is a SPEAKON cable output directly to a speaker without the use of of an amplifier. SOOO many features! You can configure the sound that you like. While you get the instant fast/slow movement from the Horns, the slower wind-up and wind-down lag effect is simulated digitally. Here's the COOL PART... you can customize the speed of the Rise and Fall of digital "bottom speaker". Very Cool! It also has an OVERDRIVE knob. I don't recommend using this if you already have an overdrive on your newer Hammond Organ. There are more features, but these comments are probably the most common concerns for the PRO Keyboardist. Infinitely customizable rotary parameters are more than you’ll ever need, but tons of fun to play with. It has a huge sound and throws sound around the room like a Leslie should.
