The Harbinger Polypropylene Dip Belt features thick polypropylene construction with heavy duty steel grommets to secure chain to belt for maximum durability. Adjustable, one size fits all. Review: Comfortable and strong - I bought this belt to use for weighted dips and pull ups and so far it has been amazing. It is very comfortable, the fabric is soft but sturdy. The chain feels strong and for the price it doesn't seem cheaply made at all. Granted I haven't used an insane amount of test weight. So far, I've used 27.5 pounds at most for pull ups. It does feel a little big when you attach it but once the weight is on it hugs your frame nicely and stays on easily. I've used it at least a dozen times so far and am loving the ease of it. I highly recommend if you need to take your pull ups/dips to the next level. Update: now that I've had the product for over 1 year I wanted to add a quick update. The belt is still going strong. I was able to add a 45lb plate and it didn't buckle at all. It's lasted at least 120 sessions since I use it twice a week and it feels the exact same as when I bought it. Review: For $20 I feel like I stole it - For $20 I feel like I stole it. The belt is very comfortable for both weighted dips and pull-ups, and I think that I will probably wear out before it does. The only thing I don't like is the clip and its placement on the belt. The clip has sharp edges and likes to grab fingers and shirts. It would also be nice if it was on the other side, but that is personal preference and I can just wear the belt upside down if I really need to. An anecdote on durability: I ran into a guy at the gym who had the same belt but 4 years old. It looked a little grubby, but there were no frays or tears and he has been hanging 90# plus on it for most of that 4 years, so I am optimistic. His older belt had a swivel snap hook rather than the carabiner mine came with, but they appeared identical otherwise. Maybe the snap hook is weaker, but It seems more practical and I may replace the carabiner with one. Still the Harbinger polypro dip belt is a GREAT product; my only regret is that I didn't buy one years ago. ## Features - Dip belt constructed of durable polypropylene with heavy duty steel grommets to secure chain to belt - Contoured belt design provides back support and fits comfortably during serious training - 30-inch steel chain and carabiner mechanism to easily add weight for chin-ups and dips - Weighted dip belt helps build power and strength in triceps and chest - Adjustable, one size fits all ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B001P0S3XU | | Best Sellers Rank | #44,478 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) #94 in Weight Lifting Belts | | Brand | Harbinger | | Brand Name | Harbinger | | Closure Type | Hook | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 2,966 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00000751510919 | | Included Components | Polypropylene Dip Belt | | Item Dimensions L x W | 32"L x 5"W | | Item Type Name | Polypropylene Dip Belt | | Item Weight | 2 pounds | | Manufacturer | Implus | | Material | Polypropylene | | Model Number | 28900 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Part Number | 28900 | | Size | One Size | | UPC | 000751510919 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Waist (cm) | 30 inches | | Waist Size | 30 inches | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Harbinger - **Closure Type:** Hook - **Color:** Black - **Material:** Polypropylene - **Size:** One Size ## Images ![Harbinger Polypropylene Dip Belt with Steel Chain - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/715Owpv49hL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: How much weight will this hold up to?** A: I was doing 180lb weighted dips and it bent the metal hoops holding the chain, broke the belt. Id say this belt cannot take more than 180lbs unless you replace the standard hoops with heavy duty harbingers. Had to replace the hoops with heavy duty carabigners. Belt can now take 270lb which is the max amount of plates that will fit on the belt **Q: Can this be used as hip squat belt ?** A: I'm sure it can, but if you're using 45s they'll probably hit the ground. **Q: Does this dip belt also work as a weight belt? If not, are there any belts out there that serve both purposes?** A: I was always wondering if there are any belts which serve both purposes because I didn't want to buy two different belts and carrying them together...it would be very inconvenient....and actually I found one...it is WSF Genesis Universal Lifting/Dipping Belt...I'm not sure if I would buy this one though... **Q: does the chain long enough to hold 3 45pounds plates?** A: Depends on the type of plates -- at my gym they have some 45 lb plates that have notches along the outer edge. I found a better solution though -- I wrap the chain once around a 125 lb dumbbell and the chain is more than long enough. Stand the dumbbell upright to do this. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Comfortable and strong *by A***A on November 9, 2019* I bought this belt to use for weighted dips and pull ups and so far it has been amazing. No discomfort at all wrapped around my waist. Be careful of the harbinger as it is a tad bit sharp and slightly cut my finger's skin. I was a bit careless though hooking it to chain quickly. It is very solid and has a strong spring to make sure the chain is locked in. ## Frequently Bought Together - Harbinger Polypropylene Dip Belt with Steel Chain - Harbinger Padded Cotton Lift Straps - Soft, Supportive Neotek Wrist Pads - 21.5" Length, 1.5" Width - Reinforced Edges & Heavy-duty Stitching - Cushions Wrists for Lifting Support - Harbinger Padded Leather Contoured Weightlifting Belt - 4" or 6” Width - Interior Suede Lining & Foam Cushioning - Heavy-Duty Dual Prong Steel Roller Buckle - for Lifting Support --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/1283552-harbinger-polypropylene-dip-belt-with-steel-chain](https://www.desertcart.at/products/1283552-harbinger-polypropylene-dip-belt-with-steel-chain) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-10-17*
