This novella, based on the works of Vergil and Ovid, is suitable for all beginning readers of Latin. This novella uses only 140 unique Latin words--over 90 of which are easy Latin cognates--making this an idea way for a beginning Latin learner with little vocabulary knowledge to read an entire novella with ease. After the 2nd chapter, I only translated new hard words, and they were following along just fine, with a little miming on my part. They both really love the story and beg for extra chapters. They also agree with Polyphemus that Acis's poem isn't any good- it's far too silly for a dignified 5 year old to respect.
