## Description

Product Description 10" Multi-Purpose blade. Designed for cutting mild steel, aluminum, copper, wood with nails, plastics etc. From the Manufacturer 10" Multi-Purpose blade. Designed for cutting mild steel, aluminum, copper, wood with nails, plastics etc.

Review: But it - This blade rocks. It made 459 cuts through 2.5” oak, first cut as clean as the last cut. Next day cut 3x3x3/16” carbon steel angle beautifully. Took my time and let durable blade do the work
Review: Works well for acrylic - To cut acrylic, the normal recommendation is to use a high-toothed blade. But when we had to do some serious cutting of acrylic for my triangular windows, my handyman did some testing, and the Evolution blade actually produced the cleanest cuts of all three blades we tried, including a high-toothed one. It maybe interesting to mention that we did not expect this. I found the Evolution blade first on the web page of a local big-box store when I was looking for an affordable blade to cut *harder metals*, and got it from that store. But since we will have to do quite a few four-feet-plus acrylic-mirror cuts, and we used the old blade quite a lot to cut metals (mostly aluminum alloys), I thought it might be a good idea to get a new blade. So I looked around for it and found it on desertcart. It would be nice if there was a twelve inch version. The ten inch is good for my handyman's table saw, but my miter saw would prefer a twelve inch.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: can this blade cut stainless steel?**
A: You get about 2-3 clean cuts on stainless pipe. Sadly you get the same with their Stainless Steel blade which cost double.

**Q: Is this blade good for cutting laminate flooring?**
A: I used the the saw and blade for various materials including laminate flooring. My test cuts were opposite the blade rotation to minimize chipping on the face, but there were no problems. Generally, move the material at the appropriate speed to make a smoother cut ( too slow could leave a burn mark, too fast could make the material jagged or chipped). Tape can be applied to the floor for the first few test cuts to reduce any chipping. I used the blade with a sliding compound miter saw. I also have cut metal, wood, and PVC. Make sure the RPM of the blade and saw match up.

**Q: Can i use this with any brand of chop saw?**
A: This is a low rpm blade. Using it on a high rpm saw is dangerous, and the blade will only last a few cuts.

**Q: Will this be a good choice for cutting steel closet rods?**
A: Yes, it cuts steel very well and without heating up the rod like a traditional steel cut-off wheel / chop saw, which typically has a larger (10") angle grinder type of steel blade. Also, it makes a very clean cut, with hardly any deburring required. Which to me is worth it. I cut curtain rods to length and traditional steel cut-off blades can heat up so much that they start to melt the paint on the rod. Not this one! The only downside with the Evolution is the blades do not last as long as I would like. After they get worn out, the cut is not as clean and can sort of chip out the rod leaving an imperfect jaggedy cut. You know it's time to change the blade then. I use it professionally, and I have not counted how many cuts it makes before getting dull, but I'd say 40-50 cuts, or less. But the rods I cut are relatively thick walled, yours may not be? Hope this helps.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for wood (at the very least)
*by A***R on January 9, 2024*

Picked up to use for cutting 2x2 lumber for a recent project. Worked very well for those cuts. I'll have to see how it holds up against metals and maybe some plastics (no plastic cutting planned so far). I have some aluminum I need to cut soon, so I'll leave this blade installed. I still have the steel cutting blade(s) on hand to swap over to as needed. LOVE using this saw to cut everything. So much better than using the abrasive disk type of saw. A welder friend also picked up one of these after I told him about mine. No more metal (and disk) dust floating around either of us now. MUCH better for our health!
