Y2PLAY Stores 1-800-695-4808 **Q: Will these be good for a half-step o one-step down tunning from the standard eadgbe?** A: Been playing a 1987 fender stratocaster drop D full step with .008 - .038 strings for AGES without a problem. The heavier strings have more punch drop D or not but the lighter gauge strings don't buzz for me and I have a very low action guitar. If you want a really "bendy" guitar give it a try. That's what Jimmy Page played mostly and he did ok. If you play Alice in Chains like I do then drop D is important. Most of my drop D is a bit distorted and loud so through the pickups and amps plus effects there is zero string buzz. Give it a shot! **Q: String diameters are labeled incorrectly in the color/model selection? Pink should be 9-42. Purple should be 11-48.** A: Yes. I believe you are correct.
