It turned out that the pointed part of this stylus, is not for use on iPads, it is used on items that can take a hard point. The round stylus is no different from the rest of the ones you can buy at a low cost. I am rating this because it is a good buy if you have two different types of electronics to use with it, but I don't. I AM using the pen clip the same way I'd use one with a loop but am concerned i'll end up loosing it. The capacitive tip is kinda squishy at the tip and works well on my Sprint Epic 4G, but be aware that the tip does not work on the 4 Android touch buttons at the bottom of that specific phone. If you phone has actual buttons for the Android keys, you should be fine if you push them a little harder on the squishy tip until it hits the hard center.
