I saw this question elsewhere and they said 24 hours tops. I am at 32 hours and the back side which should be at 7.5 inches is only at 4 inches and that isn't even all the way across. On the right side it is only 2 inches high and there is a vertical hump running right down center so the top of it isn't even level. I guess I will give it another two days. **Q: which size is the Large one?** A: 24 x 28 x12 **Q: Do you need a standard pillow on the top?** A: I started out with a standard pillow on the top and found that it was hard on my neck. So I purchased a travel pillow which I have in my regular pillow case. I put the long end of the case under the top of the wedge and that keeps it in place. **Q: Can the memory foam be removed?** A: I believe the memory foam can be removed. It comes with BOTH pillow cases on the pillow.
