I've left it for several hours and it kept my coffee nice and hot. The extra screens are great also, since eventually I will want to replace those. However, one lasts a very long time depending on how much you use it. I use mine 1 to 2 times daily. It's nice and sleek too, so I can leave it on the counter top without it looking unsightly.
