This was my first set of SELF-CARE CARDS. And am liking them as well. With Grace Cards my set had me pulling a card for inspiration / encouragement a couple times a week. I then started using the Grace cards in one of the ways that Cheryl suggests: when sending a note or greeting card in the mail, I ask for a word for the particular person and pull a card. It is amazing that I hear back from ther person receiving the mail noting how spot on perfect the "grace card" was for the day and what was happening in the person's life. I also do intuitive tarot and other oracle readings... I have for some time made it practice to have the client draw and "word gift" to take with them at the end of the reading session. I always also direct clients and friends to Cheryl's website which gives one an opportunityto use the Grace Cards electronically. I have found Amazon a great way to get extra sets for my purposes and to get them at discounted prices. I am adding the sets of Self-Care Cards to my "Word Gift" basket to share with clients. My only sadness in the purchase of a gently used set was that the seller had received them as a gift from her mother (as noted by the handwritten inscription on the inside cover of the box). She parted with a great gift. Each is very colorful and provides a timely message/affirmation to help get through the day's challenges. Use of the cards provides a targeted focus on our own well-being, something we sometimes find difficult to address or do not give any time.I pull a card as that last task in the evening with the focus and intention of asking "what will my self-care focus be for the next day" - I can journal the topic and the message, how it feels, and how I choose to implement it into the next day.For instance, "Playfulness" depicts a child sleeping and there is a lot of purple coloring on the picture representing this ideal.
