I'll be ready for that next interview. Lammle has been writing these study guides for years and I love his writing style. He writes in a very informal and conversational style and that makes reading this material fun and helps you relate to real world scenarios and applications. I'll edit this review depending on whether I pass the Network+ exam (just kidding). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Recommended *by L***H on July 9, 2015* I'm already CompTIA Network+ certified since 2006. I am re-certifying to gain the "CE" designator. I used this very same book back then for my studies, and this book contains about 35-40% more information. The book is easy to read and well laid out. The online resources that come with the book alone are worth the money. You can retake the chapter tests & practice tests online repeatedly. The online flash cards help immensely too. The book is downloadable in PDF & ebook formats for reading offline. The virtual lab simulator offered is somewhat anemic and I found little use for it.I scheduled myself to do a chapter a day, there are 20 chapters, but I got stuck in two chapters for 2-3 days each, and remember I'm already NET+ certified! It's like everything else, if you don't use it you lose it, and some material learned you just don't use. You forget it! Long story short, it took me four weeks, 28 days, to read the book, study, and do all the tests.I would recommend this book to anyone seeking to become NET+ certified. Use it and at least one other book to get a different prospective of the same material. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great study guide - a good jumping-off point for further study! *by J***N on March 16, 2016* First time getting back into networking after a long hiatus. I've found it really good for keeping me on track for certification - but there are definitely sections where I've found important underlying concepts being grazed over. I find things easier to remember if I understand the underlying concepts and not every concept is fully explained here, which makes sense considering the goal of this book. It's easy to find supplemental material online so no worries there. Again I find myself using this book as my guide to keeping me on track, rather than being the ultimate repository of networking information, and it's doing a great job.There are a few spots where he talks about the difference between real-world vs. what you need to know to get certified but isn't so relevant in modern practice, which is great. If anything there should be even more of this! Would make it even more useful as a general learning tool, vs.just a certification-prep tool. But overall this book has served as a great jumping off point. Well written, and generally accurate. Lots of prep questions.
