I am kind of disgusted with myself, for heeding the critics back in 2006. At the time, I was really looking forward to this movie, and then dismissed watching it because of the bashing it took. When will I ever learn? Because I am such a big fan of the original, and because of some positive reviews here, I relented to watch it regardless of quality. The movie is much better than I expected. It has a good story, cinematography, acting, etc. I don't understand people who say it has no plot. It's almost as if we're not watching the same movie. This is Catherine Tramell playing her game for her own ends, much the same as in the first version. If you're a fan of the original at all, or just like a good murder mystery, you might enjoy this movie.
