The cable boot is made of hard plastic and the locking tab seems to be a little short, making it tricky to squeeze. The cable itself appears to be fine (Not Tested), but if you need to disconnect it frequently for any reason, it could get frustrating. I honestly thought I was going to damage the port while trying to get the cable to come loose.
