Multi-Menu cooking functions include settings for white rice (regular, softer or harder), jasmine white rice, mixed rice, sushi rice, porridge, sweet rice, brown rice, GABA brown rice and quick cooking. The clear-coated stainless steel exterior fits any kitchen decor and makes cleanup a snap. The triple heater (bottom, side and lid) generates heat all around for even heating. **Q: Is it made in Japan?**
A: Yes, this model is made in Japan.

**Q: I cook mainly with Jasmine rice and the Jasmine rice setting seems like it would be useful.  Does anyone actually notice a difference when it's used?**
A: The "Jasmine" setting will actually soak the rice prior to cooking, the total time to cook on "Jasmine" setting is approximately 90 minutes!  We usually cook Jasmine rice using the "Quick" setting, takes about 40 minutes.  The only difference is the Jasmine setting is more fluffy, if you like that.  If you are cooking more than 3 cups and plan to have it warming for a few hours or couple of days, "Jasmine" will be fine.  For cooking small amounts, (< 2 cups) we use the "Quick" setting.

**Q: Is the inner pot/bowl dishwasher safe?**
A: No. The inner pot is non-stick, and putting it in the dishwasher might remove the non-stick coating.

**Q: More information about the proposition 65?**
A: Thank you for your inquiry. In regards to Prop 65, the packaging material contains Styrene and the power cord contains BPA (neither of these would come in to direct contact with food or beverage). The nonstick coating on the inner cooking pan is N-Methyl Pyrrolidone. For further information, please go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov
