Review: Love it! - I'm an older bass player and play out often. My old rig was a bit too heavy for me anymore so I ordered this. No, don't think you can sustain 500 watts or even run it maxed out for long periods, not that you need to do so. But it has a great sound and carries well in small and medium rooms. Lightweight and very manageable. My band mostly does large halls and rooms, so I run a direct out of the amp to the PA and just use the amp as a monitor. Keep the amp back line as it is hard to hear if your drummer and guitar player are playing loud. The amp projects at a distance but you'll have problems if your on a loud stage with no monitors and the amp is close to you. To be fair, that is a common problem with most bottoms. Overall, nice sound and a great addition to my collection.

**Q: Does this amp comw with the power cord?**
A: Yes it does. Also comes with 4 casters. I gigged with this amp last Saturday. Out door show. Ran direct into pa. It was unbelievable. Best amp I’ve ever had.  I’m 50. Been playin since 13yrs old.  I would recommend this HD508 to any player.  Enjoy

A: There was no cover in the box with the original purchase. I'm sure you could find one to fit from Hartke - or another seller.
