Rolls out when needed for my sewing. The only difficulty I had was attaching the 2 lower pockets as they weren't quite lined up with the slots on the cart so kept falling off. My Son came over & was able to put enough pressure on to connect. Now they stay & it all works great. I teach cake decorating and it has been very well designed. I particularly like the area at the back for books and paper work needed for each class - so handy to access. The removable drawers are spacious and adequate for the items I need to take to class. The side areas for rolling pins etc are excellent.
