What she didn't know was that the main reason I wanted the watch was to be able to use it as a range finder on the golf course and though the watch is waterproof the leather band wouldn't stand a chance in the rain and under hot, sweaty rounds in the summertime. I looked into getting a metal band from Pebble but apparently they haven't been able to produce enough of them yet to sell separately so I needed to find another solution. I ordered the Shank -- though as a golfer was a little suspect about the name -- and have been very happy. The silicone feels lightweight and soft yet sturdy against my skin and doesn't pinch, perfect for playing golf. Curious if it will stretch out over time but for now it feels great. The sizing and cut of each of the components are exact and fit together perfectly, very well made. The continuous row of beveled holes are both functional and stylish -- giving it a sporty, masculine look while also allowing air to flow through so it doesn't get too hot and sweaty underneath during those blazing hot days on the course. Having all those holes also gives me options to adjust the tightness of the band depending on if my wrist feels swollen or not under varying conditions. I like the branded tool that came with it and hope I manage to not lose it over time. Overall it complements the design of my Steel perfectly and gives me the option to do more with my watch than I would with just the leather band. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent strap *by L***Y on Reviewed in the United States on July 4, 2014* The material of the band is smooth and it has an almost stretchable feel to it, but at the same time feels strong and secure. The watch vibration is more pronounced with this strap than with the metal one. The strap fits perfectly on the actual timepiece with no gaps. The tool that came with it fits perfectly into the slots of the screws. I have not tried other straps but I feel that I can safely say that this is a well thought out strap that fits beautifully on the timepiece. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great sports band for the Pebble Steel *by D***J on Reviewed in the United States on September 15, 2014* I got this along with my Pebble Steel to use it for running. Good quality and good looking - sets the watch off perfectly. Easy to install. I didn't have a whole lot of luck with the included screwdriver; I had purchased the Pebble brand steel bracelet at the same time, which happily came with a screwdriver as well. I ended up using that screwdriver instead.The band could be a touch longer for my ginormous wrists. They do sell a longer one on their website; I may get one in a different color down the road.
