I wanted it for my front door key but it's like a clamshell that fits over the key and the plastic prevents the key from going all the way into the lock. I'm going back to Froglegs...$2.58 at the local Home Despot. They are much smaller and better built.

This thing is huge, way too big to put on a keychain that is carried in a pocket. I wanted it for my front door key but it's like a clamshell that fits over the key and the plastic prevents the key from going all the way into the lock. The cover snaps onto the key firmly and time will tell if it doesn't open. The unit is large and adds a lot of bulk to the key - not necessarily bad because it make the key easy to find in the bottom of your pocket. This is not what I would call keychain friendly because the opening at the top is pretty small so it doesn't slide on the keychain. Overall I'm happy just being able to see the door lock at night
