It's a simple creation consisting of silicone and a small wire. I've had metal egg rings in the past but they get so hot and it's a bear trying to pop them off. Sometimes the eggs stick to them (even when using pam) and you have a mess when your eggs fall apart. I've only used this 4-5 times now, but it works fabulously! I sprayed it with Pam... just in case, and it worked great! When lifted up, i had perfectly round eggs that fits on an english muffin perfectly. (McMuffin's at home... Yaay!) The only thing ... I wish I had purchased the multiple set instead, but that's on me, not the company who made these.This morning I made mini omelets in these. I scrambled the eggs along with a touch of milk in a bowl and did a small dice on onions/peppers and tomatoes and I poured the eggs in there and sprinkled the veggies in there and let it cook slow. After a few minutes, I removed the ring and flipped it and added some shredded cheese to the top... DELICIOUS! Try it if you get one of these... it was so yummy! =)I also want to try making pancakes in these.
