**Q: Does the clock make a ticking sound?**
A: no

**Q: Should the DST on/off switch be ON or OFF for the time change nov 4, 2018?**
A: Mine is ON, and must face the correct direction to update the time change. Personally, my clock is a waste of money. How you enjoy yours.

**Q: any volume adjustment?**
A: On the one I bought, there was a three step volume switch on the back. I purchased one of these about 5 years ago, and a replacement this year - they were different - so you might not get one the same if you purchase it now...

Clock functions as expected except doesn't make the changes from standard time to DST or back to standard time.  This must be done manually.

Unable to get the clock to talk and very difficult to set correct time zone because of this. I have owned another brand of this same clock for many years and understand how to work it, but this one is bogus! After a week of trial and error to set the time zone, I got it to work and it keeps time but unfortunately can't talk.
