I've used Speedo Ultra's, Swedish googles, Barracuda salt water goggles, Speedo Vanquishers, and Aquasphere Vistas. I've used each of these goggles for a significant amount of time. While all of these goggles have something to commend them, none of them does everything the Kayenne's can do. The Ultras will stay on *no matter what*, but they're uncomfortable. The Swedish goggles are weirdly comfortable, but are prone to failure during racing starts or dives (and don't tell me it's because they weren't on correctly--these things failed Michael Phelps at the Goodwill games). Barracuda's are strictly for lap swimming; they are very comfortable, but I lost mine while swimming in surf (and don't even think about a racing start or aggressive flip turn). The Vanquishers look cool, but aren't very good (I used these for only a short time). The Vista's I really like, and still wear on occasion, but aren't good for aggressive turns or racing starts; they are however, a great lap swimming google. The Kayenne does it all. It is as comfortable as the Vistas and as race worthy as my old Ultras. There are three different sized versions of the Kayenne: Regular, ladies, and youth. I recommend trying the regular's first, unless you know you have a small face. The fit and finish of these goggles is a cut above anything I've tried. Only the Barracudas (the high end ones) have a comparable level of finish and they ARE very comfortable, but they are extremely prone to slipping. My Kayennes never slip, they never leak, and (when combined with Spit Brand anti-fog spray) they never fog. I've stopped looking. I hope they never stop making this goggle. Review: causes dizziness and leaks - they are crystal clear (with lens anti fog) and comfortable, but, they cause shifted images in each eye. this gives me dizziness. I can deal with that, but then they started leaking after a few months. now they are near worthless. yes, I used anti-fog, but that never deteriorated my other goggles. I also only used them indoors, never in the sun; so I can't blame UV damage. Will the strap fit. I desire the regular fit, not small.** A: Stick to the sizes that tend toward men. Blue, grey, etc. Double check the size in the description at final checkout. I want to use these as both goggles and sunglasses at the beach.** A: Plastic swim goggles are made from polycarbonate. Polycarbonate itself--regardless of coating or color--blocks virtually all UV light. The UV blocking has nothing to do with the coatings or color, it comes from the long chain polymer molecules that make up the plastic itself. This is true for sunglasses and safety glasses as well. If it has plastic lenses and was made in the last 20 years it's going to block UV. Are they equal to the smoke, or darker black?** A: I do not have clear - but my guess is that clear will NOT block the sun glare (my clear mask does not block glare) / but these smoke color DO block the sun glare **Q: do these leak?** A: I do not like these because they leak. I cannot swim 100m without small droplets of water getting into them. By the time I get to 150m, I have to stop and let the water out. After that, it seems like the leaking only gets worse. It really deserves the 5th star. The visibility is as good as it will get with a pair of swimming goggles. Yes they tend to just slightly skew the vision, but they are intended for the pool not deep water diving so they deserve a lot of respect in that category. Great goggles! --------- First Review: The visibility is overhyped. By reading the reviews and the 180 degree vision description, I was under the impression that these goggles would be an upgrade from the average snorkeling mask. They are good for doing laps but the underwater clarity is nothing to rave about; I wouldn't rely on their visibility when diving in open water but they're ok for the pool. Big plus is that they don't leak and they are the most comfortable goggles I've ever worn. The strap is very easy to adjust with the feature they have on the side and they stay on with no slips.
