I have 3 of the older s2's all on the D firmware for the highest quality audio. I can live without the mic. I've been listening to the S3 one now with my OneMore Quads for about a half hour and I swear even with the stock firmware the S3 is most definitely sound signatured better than the S2 maybe it's my imagination but it's not muddy and even sounds close to the D firmware in terms of the soundstage. I haven't tested this but my ears don't lie I'm impressed.
