It was highly reviewed on NY Times Wirecutter and I can definitely see why.Cuts paper into tiny pellet sized bits. No way anyone can find your personal info anywhere. Great features, for example it turns off when bin is full so you won't overfill and burn it out, it is much quieter than our old shredder and I can remove the shredded paper cannister easily from the front to empty. I don't wheel the base around, so that feature isn't really useful to me, but I really like that the shredded paper cannister is easily removed and reinstalled from the front. I've had it a bit over a month and have put it through its paces doing my annual file clearing. I always made sure to only run 1 bin full of shredding and then let it rest for at least 1/2 hour. Rated as 8 sheet shredder, but I found that heavier weight paper needs to be limited to 4 pieces at a time. Not a deal breaker for me, as it does such a good job overall. Went through a ton of paper shredding and it is still going strong. However after almost a year the automatic sensor stopped working properly. It automatically turns on a few seconds after switching on the unit, and doesn't stop at all after the shredding is done and I have to switch it off manually.
