I would agree with some of the other reviews that the light is an orange-y color, not a soft white or yellow. For me, this con is not a deal breaker but I did take off one star because I wish they were a little more white or yellow. So far they have charged well and last the entire work day and I just put them in the base to charge before I go home each evening. I bought three sets of them, two for myself and one as a gift. The charging base is one piece which is completely flat inside the three sections and has one small wire visible to plug it in. All you have to do is to give them a small shake to turn the candles on and off and what I like is that they flicker just like a normal candle but are much safer around your house. I am very pleased with them, they work well, the charge is long and with two sets I alternate them on one base so that three of them are ready at all times.
