## Overview

This 30ml Conductive Graphite Paint offers a low sheet resistance of 8 ohms/sq on virtually any substrate, enabling electroplating on non-metallic surfaces like plastics, wood, and stone. Its water-based, non-toxic acrylic formula ensures minimal odor and easy cleanup, while being environmentally friendly. The paint is frost-resistant for global shipping and provides durable, slightly flexible, water-resistant coatings ideal for EMI/RFI shielding and artistic electroforming projects.

## Description

Unlike many other conductive paints, this one is water-based and uses an acrylic binder, yet still produces a very low-resistance surface for fast and even plating; it has very little odour, is non-toxic and environmentally friendly - any dried out paint can be disposed of in normal household waste. Packed in 30ml (approx. 1 fl.oz) bottles. Apply to a clean dry surface and allow to dry for 12hrs before immersion. The paint adheres well to most substrates and can also be used for EMI / RFI shielding of rigid plastic equipment cases. Although water-based it is very water resistant when dry and remains slightly flexible. Review: Ignore the reviews , this is actually a brilliant product if used correctly !!! - I honestly think people should look into the process more before saying that this product doesn’t do the job right! I have been using it since I have started electroforming and it’s my go-to paint! This is one of the pieces of jewelry I have electroformed onto this graphite paint which dries fast and even ! Learn the difference between plating and electroforming and make sure you’re using the proper bath! If you’re using a PLATING solution and not an electroforming solution the results are going to be crumbly but that’s not because of the paint, that’s because you should plate metal onto metal if you want good results! Do your process right and you will not have any problems whatsoever! I use a gold-leaf adhesive before applying the paint so it can adhere properly to the surface I need to electroform. Again, the paint is brilliant but follow the proper steps in preparing your piece ! If you want to skip using the adhesive then mix your own graphite powder with some mod podge and there you have it! But please make sure you don’t blame a perfectly good product if you don’t use it properly :) 5 stars from me !
Review: Guitar shielding paint - Best with 2 coats. Works well (for an amateur like me) to shield the pickups cavities and control cavities of an electric guitar. I screw in a small wood screw into the side of the pickup cavity while the paint is still wet. This screw has a wire looped around it, that is grounded to the volume pot cover (or jack socket), then I paint over the screw and end of the wire where it is wrapped/soldered onto the screw. Any other metal parts needing grounded (eg. Metal bridge, metal tailpiece ? You are best grounding those too otherwise tour efforts won’t be as good as you hoped

**Q: Is this paint for dipping in to gold solution or can gold plating can be brushed on**
A: It literally flaked off when dipped in gold solution and brushing

**Q: Hi. Can this product be used on textiles and rubber?**
A: To be honest i found it useless on metal. I would think it would crack if used on rubber or textiles due to flexing. Total waste of money for me

**Q: can this be sprayed through a airbrush if thinned**
A: It is Water based, you may struggle to mix it with thinners. Graphite particle size vs airbrush hole size, not sure, but could get clogged up.

**Q: Is this paint any good for speaker cables to improve good connection to high end speakers**
A: Dont buy it its useless

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I tried

Tried using this to coat the buttons of a worn remote control, worked for 3 days. Paint doesn't stick to flexible rubber buttons. We live and learn, good product just not right for my particular job.
