The Solid Mount is installed through the face of the fiberglass panel and uses a patented mounting assembly that attaches to the stud, sealing the hole and leaving a mounting surface to which a standard grab bar can easily be attached. This installation meets or exceeds ANSI and ADA safety requirements. When securely installed, the Solid Mount prevents the tearing apart of walls during installation of any grab bar. It took me about twice as long as the 'suggested' installation time. But that was because I was determined to do it correctly- and I did.The shower mount is rock solid. The video maker has several good tips and tricks. Go slowly and determine the actual stud location after drilling a small hole at assumed stud location. If close but not exact, a second guide hole can be drilled as long as the first hole will be covered by the 2” hole saw.
