As a 5th grader mom, I could totally relate to the main character's struggles to fit in and navigate friendships. I know this because I my kid tells me everything. So yo get the insight to approve this book i read it too! The illustrations are hilarious and really add to the story. I loved how realistic the characters were - nobody was perfect, and everyone had their own quirks. The book tackles issues like bullying, crushes, and trying to find your place in a really approachable way. I laughed out loud and cringed along with the main character.
