Can I remove the internal insulated tips?** A: It depends on what you want to measure. But I would shorten them instead of removing it can do damage to you and your meter. **Q: I bought these but the banana plugs doesn't sem to fit my multimeter. Is this normal? My multimeter has standard ports.** A: Most of the common meters take 4mm plugs. These leads have long shrouded plugs with insulated tips which ensures that the live connections are never exposed at the plug even if unplugged. These cables work fine with my Peak-Tech 1075 multimeter and with an Ultrics XL 830L It is possible that your meter mays need plugs that are shorter and/or have exposed tips, in which case these leads may not work well, if at all, in which case it is possible that you might find something like the "DIGIFLEX Multimeter Test Leads Replacement Digital Testing 75cm" may work better for your meter. These leads shorter shrouding and exposed tips on the plug. Other similar leads are also available on Amazon. For safety reasons, do ensure that no unshrouded part of the plus is exposed when in use. If in any doubt, check with a qualified electrician.
