The magnetic platform is much better when trying to line up items to cut with a stamped item. **Q: does this platform replace the need for the solo thin die adapter for use with the Vagabond?** A: It covers both embossing & die cutting. Mine arrived with hinges broken, I just use it the way it is. **Q: how long is this platform?** A: I believe it is 6 1/2 wide by 13 long.
