    Fit okay but disappointing performance

*by A***S on Reviewed in the United States on May 13, 2016*

Good news: they fit as expected. The "bad" news is that they don't really seem to do much. Got them toward the end of the cold season so did not have many chances to really test, but on cold days it was hard to tell much difference having them on under some other gloves, versus just wearing the gloves by themselves. Maybe a few degrees, but it was not a stark day/night difference.Worn by themselves, they do not seem very warm at all. Some of these other reviews are puzzling. The fabric "breathes" which is good in one way, but the point is that air easily passes through them so if you walk around in any kind of breeze they don't make much difference at all. The concept is presumably that these provide a layer inside the gloves to trap some air, like a shirt under a sweater, but they are very thin and not really a thermal fabric at all.Went with three stars in hopes that next season makes them seem more useful, but so far it is hard to recommend them over just buying some really good gloves that don't require the extra help.

A sizing tale: Bag Hands? No Thank You, Paper Please.

*by B***C on Reviewed in the United States on December 15, 2015*

I ordered a pair of these "silk" liners according to the manufacturer sizing chart; at 9.5 my meaty work hands were designated at "XL." I disagreed and ordered L. Although I ordered a size smaller than recommended these things are like wearing bags on my hands! Each liner's finger is an inch longer than my own and the glove itself sits around my hand like a hot air balloon. I've never put something on my hand like this before, other than that time of the year known as Thanks Giving, where one must jam their hand into a bird carcass and perform a summary eviceration in celebration of life and opulence. Either these liners are made for people who litterally have shovels for hands, or they sent me a XXXL pair. There's no size tag so it's anyone's guess. I would have promptly returned these monstrocities, except Amazon said, "Here's your refund, keep the liners" to which I say, "Thanks... I guess."Currently, I jam my hands into these liners, shluff them down onto my fingers like an old stretched out sock from dad during childhood when all the small socks were in the hamper. I wriggle my fingers along those massive channels to the end of each 7 inch finger. Once properly equipped, the liners no longer remind me of the long delicate fingers of an elf prince. Then, I jam my rumpled-lined hands into a pair of leather gloves and hit the road on my lovely motorcycle. In summation: unless someone gives these to you for free - don't have them :)

    These are awesome

*by R***E on Reviewed in the United States on April 24, 2012*

I use these as my "under" gloves for my fingerless crochet padded cycling gloves. They are super-nice and keep me warm. When it warms up I pull them off and just go with the bicycle gloves. But they add 20 degrees or more of comfort to the fingerless gloves. I always keep them with me.There is nothing like silk and these do not disappoint. The only downside is the large tags inside the gloves but they can be easily cut out. These well-made silk under-liner gloves are exactly what I was looking for.
