I purchased also the other book of some authors, with the Blue cover: Siemens SImenes Step 7 (TIA Portal) a Practical and Understandable Approach and didn't see any difference between both, they are the same book with the same amount of pages and the same chapters starting at the same page, the difference is that one is a little bit more expensive than the other. I have two concerns about both books: 1) the lack of a remissive index at the end of the book should help to find similar items through the book. 2) at the end of each chapter you will find a quiz about the specific chapter. At the end of the book, you will find all the answers of those quizzes but only for the even questions, the odd ones aren't present. Strange isn't. But despite those two comments I recumbent the book. I have quite a bit of experience with Step-7 Classic and still learned a lot (and was reminded of several things I'd forgotten as well). Having said that, I had to deduct 1 star because the book suffers from very poor formatting, as well as quite a few typos that might be confusing to newcomers.
