Along with the mag rack that's available I have these two side by side and I still have room for one more. Absolutely awesome, it just pops right into the footprints that are provided with the MX series and no need to worry about it from that point on. I have a couple of full sized pistols and the first question that a couple of my friends asked was if a long barrel would fit in this pistol rack and the answer to that is yes. I have a 5.5 inch barrel on one of my full sized pistols and it fits in there snug without issue. Review: Hey!!! Nice rack! :) - This Vaultek 2 pistol holder is amazing! It’s sturdy and feels well constructed. Outside material is hard plastic with high density foam for the inserts. My only “gripe” is that storing my beretta 92x (full size) with a laser/light attached (Olight brand) to the picatinny rail, is a little difficult because the fit is tight. This is due to the foam slot not being wide enough to accommodate the light that well. Therefore, it pushes the hilt of the gun out past the end of the rack itself just a little. The reason why this is an issue is that the door on my safe does not want to close easily when the light is attached (see photos). It might be solved by carving out the sides of the foam a little so I can push the pistol forward more. Otherwise, this rack is awesome. Looks and feels solid. They probably make one for what you’re planning to do **Q: Does the single pistol rack (MX series) snap into the accessory rack holder?** A: Yes **Q: Does this have screw holes in it to mount it to a wooden shelf?** A: No the pistol rack does not. There are plastic pegs on the bottom that are meant to plug into the lower interior of the Vaultek safe.
