I found one that was an open box deal with parts still in their bags for much less than new/sealed. Got it installed and mounted OK, everything works fine.My only gripes are for two minor reasons:1. The unit is slow to change channels and populate the metadata. Perhaps I'm spoiled by the speed of the SXV300 in my other vehicle - the metadata appears instantly - but it makes flipping channels a little frustrating and takes your eyes off the road for longer than necessary.2. The unit does not allow must customization on the way the metadata is displayed on the radio. It may also be partially limiting due to the flexibility of my radio, but it doesn't allow you to see ALL info on ONE screen. For example one screen shows song/artists but nothing else. The other screen shows channel name, song name, and category. I don't care about the category (does anyone?) and if I could only get the channel name to appear on the song/artist page I'd be happy as a clam. You can't change any of that and I believe it's because the SCC1 only feeds that info to the radio and doesn't allow for any flexibility.Again, those are minor complaints. Installation was straightforward and even running the antenna wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Like I stated in my review for the JVC KSSRA100, connection and hookup was easy; just a challenge to find space for all this equipment behind the dash. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sirius Satellite Radio in my BMW X5 *by T***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2011* Reference my other review about the Dice Duo for BMW. I connected this SCC1 tuner to the Dice Duo. Everything works perfectly. I have Navigation in my BMW X5 and the songs show up on the Navigation screen. This tuner integrated perfectly with the Dice Duo. I mounted the antenna inside the rear spoiler of my X5 for a nice clean installation. There are no signs at all that my car has satellite capability. The tuner box along with the Dice Duo fit nicely in a pocket located under the rear seat.At first I had a weak signal with the antenna mounted inside the rear spoiler. I had routed the antenna wire through the existing wire harness and down inside the body of the car. The base of the rear spoiler is plastic. I just put a dab of glue on the antenna to hold it in place and some felt on top to keep it from rattling. But this arrangement did not work out so well. I read that these magnetic mount antennas are designed to work best when attached to steel. So I got a small steel plate and glued that to the base of my rear spoiler. Then I just attached the antenna to this steel plate. It works. I have full signal strength now and the antenna is hidden inside the spoiler. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great *by J***N on Reviewed in the United States on January 11, 2013* Previously, I had a SiriusXM "portable" installed in my Nissan Frontier. It was difficult trying to find a "convenient" location to place the portable while driving. I became frustrated with that setup and decided to purchase a new in dash satellite capable radio. After some research, I decided on the JVC KW-HDR81BT and this Universal Tuner. I had them professionally installed and works great. Trying to change radios and keep the same SirrusXM account turned out to be a real bear. As it was explained to me, Sirius has three platforms: XM, Sirius, and SiriusXM. My original "portable" radio was on the XM platform. The new tuner I purchased was on the Sirius platform. Therefore, you could not simply delete the old radio and add the new one on the same account. Almost an hour later and talking with two different SiriusXM representatives later, what should have been a 5-15 minute procedure was completed. SiriusXM said they were aware this was a problem and were working to change it.Pro's: Great productCon's: If you have a current satellite package, try to match the tuner to what you have.
