And that said pet fights you every time you have to give them a one or two pills. I found the best way to combat that was to buy this mortar and pestle and crush up the pills and put in their food. It worked like a charm. This mortar and pestle is easy to use and a really nice looking product. It is a little heavy but I believe it is the marble that makes it so.

**Q: How many ounces does it hold? 8 ounces?**
A: If you are looking at a fluid ounce capacity, I filled mine with water, then poured that into a measuring cup.  6 oz. of liquid is what this mortar will hold. Hope this helps.

**Q: is the interior smooth or grooved?**
A: It is Grooved, which makes cleaning sometimes difficult , but nothing a good vinegar rinse wont get out.

**Q: where is this made?**
A: Either the webpage is wrong or manufacturer changed because I just bought this Aug 2022 and the box says made in china. I specifically purchased this mortar and pestle because it said it was made in Taiwan. Very disappointed. Would love to hear from seller.

**Q: How deep is the inside of the mortar? Is it rough on the inside? Thanks!**
A: It's about 2 inches deep and it is rough on the inside  The tip of the pestle is also rough

This is a great product especially if you have a pet that needs medication in the form of a pill. And that said pet fights you every time you have to give them a one or two pills. I found the best way to combat that was to buy this mortar and pestle and crush up the pills and put in their food. It worked like a charm. This mortar and pestle is easy to use and a really nice looking product. It is a little heavy but I believe it is the marble that makes it so.

Used her right away! I’ve never used one before, but it’s working pretty great. At first, I was delivered one with a broken pestle, but the return process was easy/fast and was able to get a working replacement!
