It helps to quickly know if a sore throat is caused by a Strep A or other germs (usually viruses) which do not require antibiotic treatment.WHAT IS STREPTOCOCCUS GROUP A?Group A ß-hemolytic streptococcus (also known as Streptococcus pyogenes) is the most common bacterial cause of acute pharyngitis and it is also responsible for some skin infections, such as impetigo and erysipelas. This is a great test kit to help get a quick result to see if any problems it’s easy to use and a quick result if you think there may be a problem then make an appointment to see to see your Doctor.

I’m afraid it didn’t work. The test line came up white which was weird. So I don’t know if it’s positive reading or not. Not very reassuring so I think a more expensive one is a better buy.
