## Description

TREATLIFE 3 Way Smart Switch 4 Pack, Neutral Wire Required, 2.4GHz WiFi Smart Light Switch Works with Alexa and Google Home, Remote Control, FCC Certified, No Hub Required - desertcart.com

Review: MULTI-WAY - I installed my first few switches, the standard single poles, shortly after we moved in a year ago with intent on testing them out for a bit before investing in the entire home as we have a 5700sq ft home with 67 switches in total Only installed 4 at the time and then gave it 6 months.. and wIthout one issue, all switches worked flawlessly, the app (SmartLife) is easy to use, not the greatest looking app but does Integrate easily with Alexa, setup of switches is super easy as well. So I went ahead and went for it and purchased the remaining switches to include the 3ways, and dimmers and single poles. I did have two multi-way circuits for our foyer and upstairs hallway for which I did scratch my head for a bit, for those of you who don’t know what a multi-way circuit is, simply, it’s a circuit that is controlled by more than 2 switches, so 3 and up. With a multi-way you need a 4 way switch, and the head scratching came from the fact treatLife doesn’t offer a multi-way WiFi switch, I tried reaching out through tech support but they simply gave me the link to a ‘tuya’ website which only offers more smart home products, that’s nice but they too did not have a multi-way switch, so I just did what I thought may work and it did work just fine.... All you have to do is buy a standard 4 way decorator (decorator so it matches the style) switch and wire that in along with the two or more 3way treatlife switches and indeed it does work flawlessly, hopefully this saves those of you in the same situation a little time wondering, researching and coming up short like I did. Another very important thing to remember and it is stated, you must have a neutral wire for these to operate. So those of you with older homes will definitely want to check prior to purchasing. My home was built in 1990, and I did run across more than 7 switches that do not even have the neutral In the box, so what I did was actually rob and fish a neutral off of a nearby circuit that had one to feed the new switch, if that’s impossible or far too difficult for you to do then they do offer receivers that have wireless remotes that can be installed in lieu of that ( this requires your actual light fixture to have power constantly and is open and closed by the receiver installed into the box of the light fixture ) then controlled by a wireless remote you can attach to wall, so there are other methods to overcome old or bad wiring.. Lastly, if you need a 3way circuit that’s on a dimmer, treatlife does not sell that as well, so enter TESSAN 3way dimmer on the search bar and these will work on the same app All in all I absolutely love the products 100% I did out of all of the switches have one single pole that was bad out of the box, I attempted to install on 3 separate circuits and it would not light up or even function as a standard switch at all, but that’s not even enough to make me upset, no biggie. Through all of my research this brand is by far the the cheapest and best value and works great! Not one of them have ever failed me via the app, they always hold a connection unlike many other devices that temporarily lose and reconnect, These do not, not one instance. So i highly recommend these and will purchase again and as well more products they offer that operate through this same app. Good luck to all If anyone has any other questions, I’d be happy to help!
Review: Easy Install, Integrates with Homebridge - This review focuses on 1) integration with Apple's HomeKit through Homebridge, and 2) ease of physical installation of the switches. 1) Homebridge-HomeKit integration: I previously purchased two wemo switches, before their integration with Apple's HomeKit. With these switches, I learned of Homebridge and learned how to connect most non-HomeKit compatible devices to Apple's Home app. I like to use Siri to say "Goodnight" and have lights turn off, my garage doors close (MyQ) and my alarm to turn on (Envisilink). I wanted to expand my lighting control, but was turned off by Wemo's price tag. I stumbled across TreatLife after a general search for wifi switches. Although their price is good (about half a demo switch) I did not buy them right away. I teach the Homebridge forums (NPM and Github) to see what scripts were written for their integration. Treatlife is a cloud based system using Tuya, similar to MyQ for garage doors. For security purposes, I was looking to see if there was a script that grabbed the wifi broadcast of the switch locally, and avoided using the Smart Life app (one app that works with these switches, there are others - Jinvoo, Ucomen, etc.). To do this approach, you need to find the switch ID and Local_Key to put into your Homebridge config. file. In previous versions of all these app, the ID and Local_Key were easily obtainable. I was going to use homebridge-tuya-lan -npm. Recently, all the apps were updated. I don't fully understand the update, but it appears they now encrypt the communication of the device and hid the Local_key. That is good as I understand that this increases the security of the device. The bad is that I couldn't use homebridge-tuya-lan -npm. There were various methods to get the Local_Key, but were beyond my computer skills. So, I ended up using homebridge-tuya-web 2.0. This package gathers the status of the lights through the Smart Life app's cloud based system. The config file is easy to write, and I didn't have any issues with the lights appears in HomeKit. I see no delay in the light response from the commands on the phone. It passes the wife factor which means we are all happy. I attached a screen shot of the HomeKit on my iPhone and you cannot tell the difference between the demo switches and the Treatlife Switches. 2) Physical installation The instructions that come with the lights are very well laid out and clear. The labels on the back of the lights switches are also very helpful. I installed a dimmer switch, a single-pole switch, and 2 there-way switches! I have 6 more there-way switches to install. The three-ways are by far the most tricky, but only because your house wiring isn't as perfect as all the videos shown on tube. I found a video that tell me how to identify the line wire and the load wire between two switches. Using the labels that come with the light switch (nice touch) I was able to resolve a switch that only had red wires going to it!!! Another nice feature of this is that the box behind the switch is smaller compared to the demo switches. There will be many wires and wire nuts that you need to shove into the electrical box. I found the demo switch size made it very challenging to tuck everything in. Not so with the Treatlife switch. Their smaller form factor allowed for more wire nut connects to be shoved into the electrical box. Overall, these switches have been a very good purchase. They are economical, the app works well, and installation was made easier by the small form factor of the box behind the switch. I will be buying more and I will recommend these to others.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review
*by A***R on March 4, 2021*

5 stars - The switch was a retrofit into an existing 3 way. The installation was fairly easy although the old switch wiring diagram was a bit different than the one supplied in the example. The rest of the installation went fairly well although with all of the wire nuts in the box and the size of the switch, it was a bit of a struggle to fit everything into a gang box with 2 other switches. The smart setup wouldn't work by using the "easy setup" and I had to go into the alternative setting to set it up, although overall it wasn't bad. Once i had one switch completed the smart setup went a lot faster for the second 3 way switch. The smart switch works great. Very happy with the purchase and I'd recommend this product.
