Check Your Local Ordinance Before Ordering Review: Kids can't get to the pool - Works reliably and seems like a quality latch Review: Very easy to operate - even a child could open it....... - This is very easy to operate. I needed it for the chain link fence gates around my yard because my dog can flip the original latches up and get loose. He has not been able to budge this latch. We just have to push down gently on the top of the handle, and the gate opens right up. The only thing, in my opinion, that would keep a child from operating it though is the height, but if a child was able to climb on something and get access to the top, they could easily open it. I would recommend taking assessments of the surrounding areas before deciding whether this would work for keeping a child out. We have had installed for few months now and it gets used multiples times a day. It has held up well. It was a little pricey, but overall, I am happy with it. I will be buying more for the other gates my dog has access to. ## Features - Refer to installation instructions and how to measure chain link fencing included on this page - Auto Pool Latch swings in or out and is pad-lockable from both sides - Please Measure the gate frame and gate post prior to ordering to determine which size to purchase - Measurements are based on outside diameters of gate frames and gate posts ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B08128XHH8 | | Best Sellers Rank | #102,340 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #300 in Gate Latches | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (636) | | Date First Available | November 5, 2019 | | Item Package Quantity | 1 | | Item Weight | 1.28 pounds | | Item model number | 138-238-POOL-GATE-LATCH-AUTO-GATE-LATCH | | Manufacturer | Jake Sales | | Material | Polypropylene | | Part Number | 138238-POOL-GATE-LATCH-AUTO-GATE-LATCH-1 | | Product Dimensions | 15 x 4.5 x 4.5 inches | | Size | 1-⅜"x2-⅜" | ## Images ![Child Safety Pool Gate Auto-Locking Latch Hardware, Chain Link - 1⅜" x 2⅜" - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51IBOcBo00L.jpg) ![Child Safety Pool Gate Auto-Locking Latch Hardware, Chain Link - 1⅜" x 2⅜" - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61XB95EDLML.jpg) ![Child Safety Pool Gate Auto-Locking Latch Hardware, Chain Link - 1⅜" x 2⅜" - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71AWUSAU32L.jpg) ![Child Safety Pool Gate Auto-Locking Latch Hardware, Chain Link - 1⅜" x 2⅜" - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61XNEuTEq+L.jpg) ![Child Safety Pool Gate Auto-Locking Latch Hardware, Chain Link - 1⅜" x 2⅜" - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71IwsXwYcvL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size, Number Of Items** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Kids can't get to the pool *by T***S on July 25, 2026* Works reliably and seems like a quality latch ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very easy to operate - even a child could open it....... *by S***6 on October 3, 2025* This is very easy to operate.
