Slider, plastic protective cover, and direction booklet. Simple but well thought tool. booklet contains A-estimating range, target estimation, nearby references B-Determining range to target C-correcting for bullet drop, drop data,verification, conversion to MILs, conversion to MOA D-correction for wind drift E-Correcting for uphill/downhill shots, bullet drop commentator, range compensation, verification Summary and then some practice examples it's ranges are from target size of 4" to 20' target size. 100-2000 yards (wish it had meters), and bullet drop from 1.75" to 100" overall very happy, should be a good tool to help me work on my range estimation...it seems well made, all plastic so rain wont be an issue, the print on plastic markings may not do well with long visits to sandy environments (where I happen to work) but the plastic case will help protect it...buy it and try it, I think most shooters wanting to increase their skills with less reliance on technology would find this to be a useful asset. The kit contains a book that WILL help you understand how to use a mil-dot scope, but the card itself is a slide rule/analog computer that assists you in rapidly doing the math involved with using said mil-dot optic. I would recommend grabbing this, watching a video or two on YouTube, and keeping the book as a reference. **Q: Will this work okay with a vortex crossfire ii 6-18x44 scope using their bdc reticle?** A: The MilDot master only works with a scope using Mildot display. If the Vortex uses MOA, the mildot is ineffective. Consider that 1 MOA at 100 yes is 1.05 inches. At 200yds it's 2.1in. At 300 it is 4.15 etc. So, take a hard look at your reticle and then consider. If you don't see the dots, it's likely MOA. As a MilDot estimator with a MilDot scope, the tool works FANTASTIC. I've estimated 880 yd shots very accurately. **Q: what material is the slide made out of? Cardboard? Plastic?** A: Its plastic coated 100% and pretty durable it can be used in the rain. **Q: Will this work with a bdc type retical?** A: Depends which model lens you are using, some are pre set for 50 yard differences 100 yard ect. So yea with some time (pending your math skills) yea it can be done. But this system is better used MOA, MIL standards. However keeping in mind your scope is only accurate set to a certain load. With that said I have a BDC system on my AR with adjustable objective set to my ONE load I built for my gun and yes can (but don't ) use my mil master. All my other guns including my 30-30 MIL/MOA.
