The felt dividers have sturdy Velcro and lots of padding for customizing your sections based on the size of your lenses/small equipment. It also stores an extra camera body, an external flash unit (inside its own case even) and battery chargers, etc. it is totally customizable! I did not need the shoulder strap, but the short handle is perfect and feels secure when carrying. You are literally carrying thousands of dollars of fragile equipment in this thing, so you need it to be sturdy. Good buy.
