It's true the globe is a good size. The box says it is 4" in diameter. The base is nice with a dimple that the globe sits in. My only complaint is that Ireland and Great Britain are just a small smudge, no definition whatsoever. I don't know if my globe is defective or if the size doesn't allow better details. Ironic since the stand has a sticker on it saying it's an Irish design.
