Only 1 came.** A: My son thought it was 3 also, even after I asked him if he cared which color he got. You get 1 pf the 3 colors. Its $2 more to choose your color. **Q: Is there a trick to the auto return? So far it just seems like a normal yo yo.** A: IT DOES return automatically, but not immediately. You need to wait for the yo-yo to slow down a bit, and the clutch within the yo-yo will disengage, and THEN the yo-yo will return. The faster the yo-yo spins, the longer you will have to wait for it to slow down enough to auto-return. If you're able to throw the yo-yo more slowly (a slower spin), the clutch will disengage more quickly, and the yo-yo will return sooner. **Q: does it break** A: The string broke on ours two minutes after removing it from the package. Worked just fine. The auto-return feature is nice and made my kid feel like he knew what he was doing. Our dog ate it so I ordered another one. The second one said it was auto-return on the package and it was the exact same model as our initial yo-yo. However, it did not work right out of the package. No auto-return. This one slipped past quality control. Started to process a return and one of my choices was to keep the defective one and have Amazon send a free replacement. So of course I chose that option. Fingered crossed the free replacement one works as it should!
