Review: Pricey but worth it - I’ve now tried 3 different non-toxic toothpastes and this one by far is my favorite. Pricey. Yes. But I feel it is well worth it compared to the junk-big-box brands out there that have SLS, lead, arsenic, mercury, etc. Why so expensive? Because it uses Nano-Hydroxyapatite which is a non fluoride ingredient which “mimics natural tooth enamel to remineralize teeth” Do your own research and try it. I brush my teeth like most people twice a day. Toothpaste inside your mouth twice a day can add up to a lot of unnecessary chemicals. Stop buying cheap, crappy, chemical filled toothpastes. Pros - BOKA has a good texture, not runny like some brands - foams up well, - not too gritty yet it’s also NOT A gel formula. - teeth feel clean - comes in different flavors Cons - Pricey!
Review: Five stars for BOKA without hesitation. - I have tried a lot of natural toothpastes over the years and I can honestly say that Boka completely surprised me in the best possible way. From the very first use it felt like I had finally found a toothpaste that balances modern science with a clean ingredient philosophy. You will not be disappointed. The standout ingredient here is nano hydroxyapatite, which is the same mineral that naturally makes up tooth enamel. That immediately caught my attention because instead of simply masking dental issues it actually supports remineralization. After learning more about nano hydroxyapatite and how it interacts with enamel I felt confident giving this toothpaste a real trial. The texture is smooth and creamy and it spreads easily across the teeth. Some fluoride free toothpastes can feel chalky or thin but this one feels refined and well formulated. It produces a gentle foam that feels pleasant while brushing but never overwhelming. The flavor is another area where this toothpaste shines. It is refreshing without being harsh or overly minty. My mouth feels clean and balanced after brushing rather than blasted with artificial intensity. That subtle freshness actually lasts much longer than I expected. After about two weeks of consistent use I started noticing that my teeth felt smoother throughout the day. That polished feeling you normally get right after a dental cleaning lasted longer than usual. My teeth also appeared brighter which was a welcome bonus. Another thing I appreciate is the ingredient transparency. There are no questionable additives and it is completely fluoride free which is important for people who prefer alternatives that still support enamel health. Knowing that nano hydroxyapatite is widely used in advanced dental care products in other parts of the world made this even more compelling. The packaging is clean and modern and the tube dispenses easily without making a mess on the cap. It feels like a premium product from start to finish. What really impressed me is how well this toothpaste balances effectiveness, comfort, and thoughtful formulation. It manages to feel gentle while still leaving my teeth incredibly clean and refreshed. If you are looking for a high quality fluoride free toothpaste that focuses on enamel support and a healthier approach to oral care then I highly recommend giving this one a try. It has absolutely earned a permanent place in my daily routine and it is one of the few natural toothpastes I genuinely look forward to using every day.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Doesn't glycerin inhibit the remineralization process? Shouldn't this be made without it?**
A: The main ingredients in this product are water and glycerin, which you are correct in that glycerin inhibits the remineralization process. I would stay far away from this gimmick and use Uncle Harry’s products, which are 100% natural and nothing short of life changing for healthy teeth and gums.

**Q: How does your10% compare to the 100g of the Apagard product. I need an apples to apples comparison, 10% tells me nothing in comparing the two products**
A: So, if I understand your question, you are asking how many grams of n-Ha are in a tube of the Boka Ela Mint toothpaste? Assuming that the 10% number you have is of the total volume, and the tube has 4oz (as listed), then it would be 11.34g of n-Ha per tube.
4oz=113.398g
0.1 x 113.398=11.3398
Not sure where you got the 10% from though, as I can’t find that number anywhere. I also don’t know how large the tube of Apagard with 100g of n-Ha is either (considering that 100g is almost the whole bottle of Boka, so I know their tube has to be significantly larger!), so it may not be a good comparison. What would be more informational is the percentage in the Apagard as compared to the Boka. Also, as the company answered, the size and shape of the n-Ha will also effect the products efficacy.

**Q: Why does it have vegetable glycerin? I heard is hard on the enamel.**
A: There is no scientific evidence that glycerin harms the enamel. One doctor, Dr. Judd, claimed that with no evidence, and the internet has run with it. Don’t believe everything you read online! If you can find a scientific peer reviewed study that demonstrates glycerin harms the enamel, let us know!

**Q: Can someone explain the sequence? Do you brush, rinse, floss, rinse, then brush again and don't rinse?**
A: According to the ADA, the routine should be:
Floss
Rinse
Brush
* Do NOT immediately rinse, nor eat or drink, for at least 30 minutes. You can rinse after that, but the longer the toothpaste stays on your teeth, the better its chemical components are able to meditate the process of remineralization. This is especially true with xylitol and flouride.

Some might take issue with that, but chemicals like flouride and xylitol just don't work as well if they're immediately rinsed off.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sensitive Teeth Approved
*by A***A on February 25, 2026*

I have sensitive teeth. Strong mint formulas made my mouth feel like it was being sandblasted. I just assumed that was normal, but Boka is different. The Mint flavor is soft and slightly sweet. It smells fresh, but it doesn’t burn or overwhelm. I don’t feel that harsh sting on my gums, and I’m not rushing to rinse it out. It’s calm. That’s the best word for it. The nano hydroxyapatite leaves my teeth smooth, like you can’t stop rubbing your tongue against your teeth. It doesn’t foam aggressively. It feels creamy and controlled. As a woman who pays attention to ingredients and tries to be mindful about what I use daily, I like that it’s fluoride free but still focused on strengthening enamel. It feels like I’m caring for my teeth, not just brushing them. Pros • Gentle on sensitive teeth • Leaves teeth smooth • Mint is fresh without burning • Creamy texture Cons • More expensive than basic toothpaste • If you love intense, icy mint, this isn’t that
