**Q: Would this centre speaker work just as well stood on its end, i.e. vertically?**
A: Yes it would.  If you wish to be a purist, the resonance in the cabinet will be slightly different but in terms of human hearing, only an absolute specialist with 'A1' hearing would be able to spot any difference in the sound.  Try it with any speaker - just change the orientation - you won't be able to hear any real difference.  Hoping that this helps.

**Q: Are you getting black headphones or black speaker?.pictures don't make sense lol.**
A: It's a centre speaker walnut style, myself and my son have the carbon versions.  Great speaker for the price.

**Q: I currently have a set of floor standing speakers and a good avr.  but struggle with hearing dialogue sometimes, would a centre speaker help?**
A: Absolutely. I had the same problem with dialog, especially watching films. After the centre speaker was hooked up it totally transformed the whole experience of TV and Film. The Wharfedale CS 9 in awesome.

**Q: I would be interested to know if a pair of these positioned L R would make for a good hi fi system in a 3x4m living room?**
A: They are designed as a centre speaker but I think you could use them as a left and right hi fi speakers with reasonable results, but if you are considering spending that much money then you may be better considering a pair of wharfedale  diamond 9.1 speakers, a fantastic speaker for a very reasonable price.
