We bought this in hopes that it would make a much needed improvement to our room and it definitely has. It looks like we have a brand new bed with a firm support underneath it (I think the color we bought, grey, adds to that illusion).As far as installation goes, it's supposed to wrap around like a headband without having to remove the mattress. But we found it much easier to install it by removing the mattress.
