Stays in place and keeps brakes quiet even with the high heat generated in mountain driving. **Q: Can you use this to protect car battery terminals?** A: Yes, I use it to protect my battery terminals. **Q: How is this different than ags bk4 in its intended use?** A: AGS Silglyde BK-4 and SG8 are the same formulation. Just marketed with different product numbers based on the primary industry served. I was confused as which was best for my brake calipers and I contacted AGS directly and that is what they told me. **Q: what are the ingredients? Specs do not specify silicon** A: I researched for you and I, and all I can find for description is that it is a Silicone based product, possibly Silane which is Silicon atom with 4 Hydrogen bonds of different bond strength attached to Silicon atom. Don't quote me on this. I can recommend Dynatex 49593 which is silicone based and much more viscous (thick) depending on what you are using this for. I love using both of these items on any rubber parts as they do not cause rubber to swell, such as a grease based product would.
