I have tried KWK, Cactus Kava, and somehow this is the strongest of the bunch and lasts me the longest. The cocoa flavor isn't great, but it's not any worse than the actual taste of Kava. I think the stevia maybe upsets my stomach but then again I drink quite a bit of this. It works super well and for the money I think it is the best instant/micronized kava you can buy on Amazon. If you drink a lot it will make you nauseous so for a little I thought it might have contained Tudei, but then I tried KWK micro and that made me even more nauseous, so at the end of the day I trust this product. If you are looking for a strong product at an affordable price, this is the product on Amazon I would recommend. Kona Kava generally is looked down upon in the Reddit community, that's why I wanted to write this review just to let any beginner or amazon shopper know that this stuff is perfectly good and I actually enjoy it more than any other product I have tried. I think I have probably bought 4 bags at this point, whoops! Also, the company doesn't specify a strain so I want to explain that this is a good moderate kava, can be taken in the day or the evening, but I wouldn't say it puts me to sleep, it almost helps me focus and music sounds really good. I like to use it at work, makes the time go by nicer. All in all, it works very well, is palatable, and is a great value kava of high strength. Buy it! I know I sound like some sort of promoter but I really support this stuff, it has consistently worked well for me. Also, cigarettes or vapes make it kick in a little harder, and make sure to have an empty stomach, for me I have a high metabolism so 2 hours after eating is good enough. That being said, it is one of the best herbs out there. I buy and use all kinds, depending on what I am looking for. Now that Kava King is out of business, I bought this one just to try it out. If you have issues with the taste, this product combined with some ovaltine, tang, etc can help out. There are a number of ppl that think the traditional way is the best way. That maybe true, but you either have access to tasty green kava or dry turkey butt powder. Turkey butt has it's place and some ppl love that flavor; however, so does this and the other extracts (as long as they are properly processed and safe)... I had bought it to add to prepared kava to boost the potency and mask the flavor a bit. I expected the resulting product to be something accessible and potent for a first-time kava drinker. It wasn't strong enough for that. In fact, it was quite a bit less potent than my go-to Waka. However, it is strong enough to take the edge off, for sure, just don't expect to get crunk with it. It's super easy to prepare - just add to water and stir. The taste, although I wouldn't drink it for the taste alone, was surprisingly pleasant. You can barely notice the taste of the kava at all behind the chocolate.
