The top end has a flat-edge scraper tip for cleaning larger flat areas and getting into edges, corners and grooves. **Q: Does it damage books when removing price stickers from them?** A: Yes. Too sharp for books, and will scratch the book. Use your fingernail to remove the paper portion of the sticker and a solvent like rubbing alcohol or Goof Off(R) to get rid of the glue residue. Alternatively, you can put the item in the freezer, and the glue will lose adhesion, and the label should peel off very easily. **Q: Would this remove shipping labels from packages so I can reuse the bag? When I return stuff sometimes the original packaging is best due to sizing iss** A: The scrapers work best if the sticky residue is on a hard surface. I haven't tried it getting labels off of cardboard, paper based shipping packages, or plastic shipping packages because I generally just take a big permanent marker and blacken everything on the label that needs gone. Then put another label on top and secure with clear tape. I think the best way to think of what the Scrigit Scraper and what it will remove is to ask yourself, would whatever it is come off by using my fingernail. If yes, saves wear and tear on fingernails and is less likely to do damage than using a razor blade. So, far, I haven't used them on anything that they have scratched. I keep finding new uses for my Scrigit's each day. So many uses, but I don't think the one you mention is one of them. **Q: How well would this work for scraping labels off prescription pill bottles?** A: I havent tried that. I use them at my store to scrape sticky labels when replacement ones are needed. So they don’t hold up quite as well as I would have hoped. Thankfully they come in a multi pack so you can switch it out for a new one.
