The machine where you put your feet is separate and operates separately of the pads. If you choose to not use the pads, just put your feet on machine and use the remote to start machine and choose your setting. That simple. **Q: Do these come with a new cord or just the 4" piece that plugs into it? If not are replacement cords available? What about longer ones or extensions?** A: They come with the pigtails that plug into the wire harness.
